Driver crashes into several vehicles on Main Street in Farmington

Farmington police have arrested a Southington man who is accused of crashing into five vehicles along Main Street on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said they responded to Main Street, also known as Route 10, around 1:45 p.m. after getting multiple reports of crashes.

Authorities determined that a 55-year-old Southington man was driving recklessly and hit five separate cars. He continued and finally crashed near Hawthorne Lane, according to police.

The suspect was charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, breach of peace in the second degree, evading responsibility, interfering with and officer and reckless driving.

Several drivers were evaluated for minor injuries at the scene and did not need to go to the hospital.
