According to state police, troopers attempted to stop a vehicle at a gas station in Windham, but the driver drove forward and backward, crashing into the two cruisers, before taking off.
A driver who was reportedly trying to evade state police hit multiple cruisers in Windham before being arrested on Tuesday night.
Julian Ramos, 24, of Hartford is facing charges including reckless driving and evading an officer.
Troopers were notified around 10 p.m. about a Honda Civic that fled Willimantic police during an attempted traffic stop. Police said Ramos had fled multiple traffic stops in recent weeks.
According to state police, troopers found the vehicle at a local gas station in Windham and attempted to box it in, but Ramos drove forward and backward, crashing into the two cruisers, before taking off.

“He endangered the safety of the community with his actions, he endangered the lives of multiple troopers,” said Ashely Sgro from the state’s attorney’s office in court. “He turned Connecticut roadways into his own version of a video game.”
Police say Ramos continued onto Route 6 West into Columbia where his vehicle suffered a mechanical failure and he allegedly intentionally attempted to run another car off the road.
After that, troopers intentionally hit the vehicle and forced it to stop. Ramos was then taken into custody by a trooper with help from his K9. State police released video of the incident on Wednesday afternoon. You can watch it here.

In total, three state police vehicles were damaged. No injuries were reported.
Ramos faced a judge on Wednesday and his bond was set at $250,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 10.
He has previous convictions for larceny and reckless driving.
