Man Suspected in Shelton Fatal Pedestrian Crash Hid Car: Police

Police have arrested a man suspected in a crash in Shelton that killed a pedestrian last year.

Police said William Donofrio, 25, of Shelton, was driving a Ford Taurus that struck and killed 54-year-old Teresa Glossy, of Shelton, on Route 110 in May 2016 and fled the scene.

She died at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, according to police.

Police said Donofrio cleaned and hid his car immediately after the crash.

He was arrested Thursday and charged with evading responsibility, tampering with physical evidence and failure to exercise due care to avoid colliding with a pedestrian. His bond was set at $15,000 and he is due in court on March 17.
