Large fire heavily damages Watertown building with businesses, storage units

Firefighters are battling a large fire at a storage facility in Watertown on Saturday morning.

A building in Watertown that holds businesses and storage units is heavily damaged after a fire early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to a working structure fire in the 600 block of Northfield Road around 6:30 a.m.

The building the fire was at is described as a large commercial structure with businesses and storage units.

Once firefighters arrived to the area, there was fire showing through the roof with heavy smoke in the area. There was nobody inside of the building at the time.

Multiple crews brought the fire under control within 40 minutes.

According to fire officials, the fire heavily damaged the building. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
