Two firefighters were injured while fighting a fire in Middletown Wednesday.

Fire crews responded to two fires in the area of Clinton Avenue around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

One firefighter was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with burns to his legs. He was treated and released, according to fire officials.

A second firefighter suffered burns to his neck. That firefighter was also treated at a hospital and released, fire officials said.

The buildings were determined to be uninhabitable. Four families have been displaced because of the fires.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fires.
