Dozens of schools are closed Friday because of the nor'easter.
High winds have been issues in parts of the state, bringing down trees and wires. Flooding has also been an issue.
Gov. Dannel Malloy partially activated the state's emergency operations center beginning at noon on Friday to monitor storm conditions.
Several towns are dealing with fallen trees or branches, as well as downed wires.
Northwest Connecticut could see anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow. Central parts of the state should expect 3 to 6 inches and shoreline areas and southeastern Connecticut could see 1 to 3 inches before the storm moves out.
There are also several power outages. As of 1 p.m., power was out for more than 15,000 Eversource and United Illuminating customers.
