Former Hartford Correction Officer Sentenced for Sexual Assault

A former Hartford correction officer who pleaded guilty to raping several women in Hartford and New Britain has been sentenced to two decades in prison.

Kelvin Grisales, 31, previously pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree sexual assault as part of a deal with prosecutors, his attorney previously said.

A judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison followed by 20 years of parole.

He will also be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Grisales was first arrested last April in connection with the sexual assault of a Hartford woman. A month later, he was charged in the brutal attack on a prostitute in New Britain in 2012.

Police said DNA evidence links Grisales to at least three other incidents and that more charges were filed out of Hartford.
