If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, you can go to six Connecticut museums for free if you have a Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit card or debit card.
Bank of America’s “Museums on Us” program offers cardholders free weekend access to several museums and other cultural institutions across the United States on the first full weekend of every month and six museums in Connecticut are participating.
Fairfield
Fairfield Museum and History Center, at 370 Beach Road in Fairfield, is open Saturday, from noon to 40 p.m.

Greenwich
Bruce Museum, 1 Museum Drive in Greenwich, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the last admission is 4:30 p.m.
Note: Museum admission from Jan. 9 through Jan. 19 is free while they change exhibitions. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but the last admission is 4:30 p.m.
Hartford
Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, 600 Main St. in Hartford, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Local
Note: Through a partnership with the City of Hartford and Aetna, admission to the Wadsworth Atheneum is free for Hartford residents every day the museum is open.
To sign up, bring one form of current and unexpired identification -- either your Connecticut driver’s license or a State of Connecticut ID card – the next time you visit the museum. If you do not have either, these other forms of identification will work too.
New Britain
New Britain Museum of American Art, 56 Lexington St. in New Britain, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Ridgefield
The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, 258 Main St. in Ridgefield, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Waterbury
Mattatuck Museum, 144 West Main St. in Waterbury, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
