Police are investigating a homicide in the area of Enfield Street and Greenfield Street in Hartford.
Police said shotspotter went off just after 11:30 a.m., officers responded to Enfield Street and found shell casings, the police received a report of a crash in the area of Greenfield Street and Oakland Terrace and found a man who was unresponsive and had been shot.
Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Desmond Wray, of Hartford.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they believe the Wray intended to drive himself to the hospital and crashed along the way.
The shooting appears to have been targeted rather than random, police said. They said they believe the shooter walked up to the car and started firing.
