A man has died after a drive-by shooting in Hartford late Friday night, just days after a separate drive-by shooting in the city killed a young mother and her baby.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Seymour Street around 11:40 p.m. for a ShotSpotter notification.
When police arrived, they said they found a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Police have not released the man's identity.

According to investigators, the shots were fired from a passing vehicle. Officers have not said what type of vehicle the shots may have come from.
Friday's shooting in Hartford is the second deadly drive-by shooting in the Capital City this week.
On Tuesday, a 20-year-old woman and her 4-month-old son were killed in a triple shooting on Hillside Avenue and Zion Street just before 3 p.m. Authorities said the mom and baby – Jessiah Mercado and her son, Messiah Diaz, were both from Springfield, Massachusetts.

Police are continuing to look for a suspect, identified by authorities as 23-year-old Lance Morales, in that shooting. Morales should be considered armed and dangerous, police warn. They ask anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts to call 911 and not approach him.
