Three firefighters sustained burn injuries while battling a house fire in North Branford early Wednesday morning.
Dispatchers received a report of a house fire on Totoket Road shortly before 3 a.m. The road was closed while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and has since reopened.
Crews responded to the home and found an active fire. The first floor of the house collapsed as crews worked to put it out.
It was placed under control about an hour and a half later. There was no one in the home at the time of the fire.

The fire department said three firefighters were treated for burns, one of which was taken to the hospital.
The fire marshal's office and police department are conducting an investigation.
