Roughly 100 gallons spilled onto Route 9 after an oil tanker truck rolled over in Cromwell Monday night, according to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Connecticut State Police said they responded to the area of exit 29 just before 9:30 p.m. for a reported crash.
The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, as well as the Department of Transportation, responded to the scene.
The oil tanker truck was carrying 2,700 gallons and around 100 gallons were released onto the ground and into the soil, according to DEEP. A contractor was called in to remove more.

Troopers said the fuel spill was slowed by the recent snowfall.
No injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
