
A man has died after a small glider aircraft crashed in Deep River Friday evening.
State police said they responded to the area of Cedar Lake Road around 4:15 p.m. after a small glider aircraft reportedly crashed in the woods.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said a Wild Sky GOAT Weight-Shift-Control aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Chester Airport.
State police said the pilot, identified as 70-year-old Bradley Darr, of Clinton, was transported by LifeStar to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The Federal Aviation Administration, the National Transportation Safety Board and the Connecticut Airport Authority were advised of the incident. The Connecticut State Police is continuing to investigate.
