A Waterbury woman was seriously injured in a crash that closed I-84 East in Southington for hours on Thursday morning.
According to state police, 58-year-old Lesley Petrafassi was driving in the left lane of I-84 near the Exit 31 on-ramp around 6:45 a.m. when a vehicle in the center lane veered into her lane and collided with her car.
Her car then hit a guardrail and rolled over before hitting a concrete bridge abutment, police said.
The other vehicle hit the guardrail and rolled over as well, they said.

Petrafassi was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury to be treated for serious injuries.
The other driver suffered minor injuries, according to state police.
The eastbound side of the highway was shut down for hours before finally reopening in the afternoon.
