Police are investigating a shooting on Hillcrest Avenue in West Hartford that happened Wednesday evening.
One adult suffered non-life-threatening injuries and one adult was taken into custody, according to police. A gun was recovered, they said.
Police said the road was closed to car and pedestrian traffic from Lynn Court to Abbotsford Avenue. It has since reopened.
Authorities say there is no threat to the public at this time. Detectives are conducting an investigation.

The West Hartford school district said a late bus transporting students home from school rerouted certain stops to a designated unification site. This impacted a handful of students.
