Police surrounded a home in Waterbury for several hours as they dealt with a barricaded person on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the person was barricaded inside 43 Central Avenue.
There was a large police presence in the area as they worked to resolve the situation.
Officers were able to safely take the person into custody around 7 p.m.
