The elderly woman who was severely burned in a condominium building fire on Lyme Street on Saturday has died, fire officials said.
Fire Marshal Dave Roberge said Carolyn McCarthy, 95, died just after 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
Firefighters were called to the building at 7 Lyme Street at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim was flown to a hospital for treatment.
Fire Officials said the entire half of the two-story apartment building was engulfed in flames.
The fire began on the woman's kitchen stove by accident and ignited her clothes, said Roberge.
Three families have been displaced because of the damage.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
