A New Haven man is dead after a crash on I-691 eastbound in Meriden Saturday.
Connecticut State Police said 36-year-old Anthony Irias was driving on I-691 eastbound around 8:40 a.m. when the crash occurred. According to police, Irias crashed through a guide rail and down an embankment on the exit 8 off-ramp. The car landed on its roof.
Irias suffered fatal injuries.
