Glastonbury police have arrested a man who is accused of breaking into an apartment and assaulting his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.
Police said Eric Avitabile went through an unlocked window of an apartment at House Street around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday and assaulted the resident.
Avitabile fled, but police soon found him.
He was charged with third-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
Bond was set at $25,000. He is due in court on August 20.
