
A 44-year-old Waterbury man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car in Waterbury on Thursday night and police said they have taken a teenage boy into custody.
Police said the man was struck just before 8:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Baldwin Street.
The vehicle that struck the man left the scene, police said.
On Friday morning, they said they have taken a 17-year-old into custody and charged him with reckless driving, operating without insurance, operating without a license, operating with a misused plate, operating an unregistered vehicle and evading responsibility–serious injury.
