A man was taken to the hospital after being struck by lightning in Colchester on Wednesday evening.
Firefighters said the 34-year-old man was struck on Orchard Farms Road.
He was reportedly conscious and alert.
Fire officials said the man was experiencing chest pains and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
