Firefighters responded to a fire at Yankee Casting Co. in Enfield on Tuesday morning after fire broke out on the production floor around 9:30 a.m.
Video from the scene showed heavy smoke coming from the building at 243 Shaker Road and Enfield fire officials called for mutual aid from nearby towns to help battle the blaze.
The fire started near a piece of machinery and quickly spread to the ceiling, according to fire officials.
"Roof structure is wooden, so the the fire ran part of the length of the building, so it took about 15 minutes to get under control," Mark Zacaro, Enfield Fire Department's public information officer said.
The fire was out just before 11 a.m.
The company casts parts for the airline industry, ships, and even spacecraft, according to its website.
Zacaro said the fire department responded to the building around six months ago for a molten magnesium fire in a different part of the building.
