New Britain Police Searching for Shooting Suspect

New Britain police are reaching out to the public for help to find the man suspected in the shooting of a 22-year-old man at Bassett and Roberts streets just after 4 p.m. on April 8.

Police have identified Timothy McDonald, 20, as the suspect and have obtained a warrant.

Police have not recovered the gun used in the shooting and said McDonald is considered to be armed and dangerous. 

He has no permanent residence and police do not know where he is. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury and was transferred to a Hartford area hospital.
