No injuries reported after train hits vehicle in Wallingford

A train hit a vehicle in Wallingford on Monday night and the people who were in the vehicle were able to get out before the train struck, according to police.

They said it happened around 7:46 p.m. at South Colony Road and Toelles Roads and no one was injured.

Amtrak is investigating.
