A man has died after a crash on Route 15 in Meriden Thursday evening.
State police said Manuel L. Goncalves, 62, of Meriden, was going north on Route 15 before North Broad Street in the Meriden just after 4:30 p.m. when he lost control of the SUV he was driving, went into the median, hit the guardrail, overturned and was thrown from the vehicle.
Goncalves died at the scene, state police said.

The state Department of Transportation said the Exit 1C to Route 15 North ramp was closed. Route 15 was also closed between Exits 67 and 68N, but has since reopened.
The highway was closed until around 11 p.m.
