Three separate brush fires closed several lanes of traffic on Interstate 84 West in Manchester Tuesday night.
The Manchester Fire Department said fire appeared in three areas of the highway, and the flames encroached on homes on Bryan Drive.
The CT Department of Transportation said the incident was reported just before 7:30 p.m. The right three lanes of traffic were closed between exits 64 and 63 but have since reopened.

Responding crews found three separate brush fires and with the help of nearby fire departments, they were all extinguished before any homes were damaged.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) was notified of the incident.
No injuries were reported. The fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fires.
