A 63-year-old Wallingford man is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle that took off in New Haven Tuesday morning, according to police.
The victim, a 63-year-old Wallingford man, was crossing Chapel Street near Temple Street when he was hit by a vehicle described as a gray four-door Honda around 9 a.m. Witnesses told police the driver took off on Temple Street.
The victim was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, police said.
