A person was struck and killed by a Metro-North train in Fairfield Wednesday afternoon.
Fairfield police said they were at the scene in the area of Commerce Drive. Metro-North said the incident took place near the Fairfield Metro station around 3:45 p.m.
Trains in the area were being delayed because of the incident, according to Metro-North.
