Responding officers found a woman lying in the road unconscious with significant injuries. She was taken to a nearby hospital and was ultimately pronounced dead, according to police.
The woman has been identified as 42-year-old Judith Williams, of New Haven.
The police department's crash reconstruction team responded and is investigating. Officers are trying to find video surveillance in the area that may have captured the crash.
