A 9-year-old girl has serious injuries and was flown to the hospital after an ATV crashed on a dirt trail off Mountain Spring Road in Tolland Monday night.
State police said a 30-year-old Manchester man was driving the ATV with three children on it when he lost control on a curve just after 8 p.m. and hit a tree.
The driver and the 9-year-old girl were thrown from the ATV and Lifestar responded to fly the girl to Connecticut Children's, according to state police.
A 6-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl were also on the ATV and none of the four were wearing helmets, according to a news release from state police. The other two children has minor injuries.
