A homicide investigation is underway in New Haven on Saturday after a shooting on Daggett Street.
Officers said they responded to Daggett Street between Congress Avenue and Washington Avenue around 11 a.m. after getting a report of a person shot.
According to police, there were serious injuries reported and the road was closed. There is no word on when the road will reopen.
Shortly after 1 p.m., police said the shooting investigation is now a homicide investigation.
Authorities have not released the person's identity.
The investigation is ongoing.
