Police investigating after man's body pulled from river in Waterbury

The body of a man was pulled from a river in Waterbury on Friday morning.

Police responded to the area of 135 East Liberty Street after getting a report of a body in the Mad River.

The body was taken from the river and police confirmed the man was dead.

Police have identified the man, but are not releasing the identity at this time.

The incident is being investigated as an untimely death and there does not appear to be anything suspicious surrounding the death, according to police.
