Fireworks caused concern for residents in East Hampton on Wednesday morning when they heard loud booms and felt rumbling.
As police started to get calls about the booms. they investigated to find the cause and determined that the state police bomb squad had been detonating seized fireworks, according to the East Hampton Police Department.
State police said they notified East Hampton Police, who then notified residents.

The calls reported the booms were mainly coming from the area of Main Street and Colchester Avenue, local police said.
They said the fireworks were set off from a safe area. No one was hurt.
