A child is in critical condition after a domestic violence incident in Bridgeport, according to police.
Police said they received calls at 10 a.m. about a domestic violence incident in the 2400 block of Main Street involving a mother and her two children.
One child was transported to the hospital in critical condition and a person of interest is in police custody, police said.
They said there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Bridgeport police said they encourage victims of domestic violence to seek assistance by contacting agencies such as the Center for Family Justice, which provides guidance, assistance, and support to help victims of domestic violence.
