Hartford Police are searching for a carjacking suspect who took a vehicle at gunpoint just after midnight on Saturday morning.
Police say a man was stopped at the intersection of Sanford and Windsor Streets when an unknown male stepped into the middle of the roadway and ordered him out of his 1999 Ford Expedition at gunpoint. The suspect then told the man to start running or he would shoot.
The suspect took off with the vehicle heading south on Windsor Street.
The stolen vehicle is a green 1999 Ford Expedition with Connecticut license plate 240WEW.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes Unit was notified and is currently looking for a male described to be 6 feet 2 inches, weighing 175 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans.
