One person has been taken to the hospital after reports of a shooting on Interstate 84 West on the Waterbury/Cheshire town.
State police said troopers responded to the highway near exit 26 to investigate reports of a shooting and detectives from the Connecticut State Police - Western District Major Crimes Squad were called to respond to the scene.
The victim has been taken to a hospital. State police said there were injuries, but it’s not clear what the extent of injuries is.

The man they are looking for is 31 years old and is believed to have dark facial hair, possibly a beard.
If he is seen in the area, call 911 and do not approach.
