Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries due to a serious crash in Wallingford Saturday morning.
The police department said the two-car accident happened in the area of McKenzie Avenue and Allen Avenue just before 9:30 a.m.
Fire officials said two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said a woman was driving north on South Colony Road when another car failed to yield, and the cars collided.

Both cars sustained heavy damage. A portion of South Colony Road was closed but has since reopened.
The police department's traffic division is investigating.
