A 76-year-old Clinton man has died after a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in Westbrook on Wednesday evening.
State police said the driver of a Honda Civic that was heading south on Hammock Road North did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection with Route 1 and the Civic collided with a Ford 150 pickup just after 5:30 p.m.
The driver of the Civic, 76-year-old Michael Leon Sutyla, of Clinton, died soon after he was transported to Middlesex Shoreline Clinic, according to state police.
The driver of the pickup, a 71-year-old Virginia man, had no apparent injuries and a 70-year-old Virginia woman who was in the passenger seat was taken to Middlesex Shoreline Clinic for possible minor injuries, state police said.

State police are investigating, and they ask witnesses to call Trooper Tomasello at Troop F at 860-399-2100.
The road was closed for several hours.
