A woman has died after she was struck by a car on the Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield Wednesday night.
Police said they were called to the Berlin Turnpike, also known as Route 15, for a reported pedestrian crash.
Responding officers found a woman, who was seriously injured, lying in the road near the intersection of Pawtucket Avenue. The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Investigators said the woman was crossing the road when she was struck. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Police have not released the name of the woman who died.
Officials said the road was closed but has since reopened.
