A driver has died after a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 198 in Woodstock Wednesday night.
Bungay Fire Chief David Elliott said a Ford F350 crashed into a pole and caught fire in the Bungay district of town.
Authorities said the driver died at the scene. State police said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is working to identify the person and determine an official cause and manner of death.
Several fire agencies responded to the scene and Connecticut State Police are conducting an investigation.
