The police chief in Plymouth was taken to the hospital after her police vehicle was struck on Friday morning and she has been released.
Police said Chief Karen Krasicky was on Main Street, waiting to turn onto Harwinton Avenue, when a tractor-trailer rear-ended her vehicle around 8:59 a.m.
The impact pushed her vehicle into oncoming traffic, and another vehicle hit her as well, police said.
The chief was injured and was taken to Bristol Hospital. She has been released, police said, and no other injuries were reported.

The Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation Team and the Connecticut State Police are investigating.
