A portion of Route 74 (Tolland Stage Road) was closed because of downed wires and a utility pole fire on Monday morning, but the road has since reopened.
The road was closed just after 9 a.m. between Route 30 and Doyle Road after a transformer exploded and it has reopened as of 11:40 a.m.
