Part of Route 9 South is closed in Cromwell because of a car fire Friday afternoon.
The state Department of Transportation said the right lane of traffic is closed between exits 27 and 24. The highway was fully shut down at one point.
The crash was reported at 2:45 p.m. It's unknown if there are any injuries.
