A 37-year-old man has died after a crash in Willington on Tuesday night, according to state police.
State police said 37-year-old Fred Morgan Viets, of Willington, crossed from the northbound side of River Road to the southbound side around 5:30 p.m. and struck another vehicle.
Viets died at the scene, state police said. The other driver sustained serious injuries and he was taken to Hartford Hospital.
State police are investigating the crash.
