A teenager has died after a crash on Route 73 in Waterbury on Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to a two-car crash near 885 Watertown Avenue around 5:20 a.m.
Police said the drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital where one received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
According to investigators, the other driver was identified as a 19-year-old man from Waterbury. He later died of his injuries. His identity has not been released.

In addition to the two vehicles involved in the crash, investigators said a parked, unoccupied vehicle was also struck and was damaged.
The crash remains under investigation.

Watertown Avenue was closed from Tomkins Street to Coniston Avenue for the investigation. It has since reopened.
