Happy weekend! We hope you avoided the worst of the winds on Friday. Gusts reached up to 60 miles per hour, taking down trees and power lines. The worst of the winds are behind us, but Saturday will still be breezy.

Saturday will begin partly to mostly cloudy as a cold front swings through. A stray snow shower is possible as this front moves through, but no snow accumulation is expected. Behind the front, the winds will gust up to around 40 mph.

We don't like to say this, but it's the shortest weekend of the year. Daylight saving time begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday, when we "spring forward" and adjust the clocks forward one hour. Take a look at what it does to our sunrise and sunset times.

After we "spring forward" Sunday, spring will be in the air. Temperatures will be well above average, hitting the 50's and 60's for several consecutive days.

With the lack of cold air in sight, we won't have many snow chances in the next 7 to 10 days.
