Commuters on Metro-North’s New Haven Line were delayed up to 30 minutes Wednesday morning because of mechanical difficulties affecting the Devon Bridge in Stratford.
Metro-North said at 10:29 a.m. that the New Haven line trains are now operating on or close to schedule.
"We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of this incident," Metro-North said in a statement.
The bridge got stuck open earlier this morning, allowing only two tracks to get by.
The issue backed up trains on the Waterbury line and Shorline East by a half hour.
