A jackknifed truck caused delays on Interstate 95 North in Fairfield and congestion for miles.
A Facebook post from the Fairfield Fire Department said the driver was not hurt but a 50-gallon diesel saddle tank ruptured.
Firefighters responded while the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection supervised.
The Fairfield Fire Department has also put out a call for truck drivers to inspect their tires to ensure the proper tread depth for rain conditions.

There were more than three miles of delays between exits 18 and 21 after a tractor-trailer jackknifed between exits 19 and 21, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The scene has since cleared.
