Interstate 691 West in Meriden was closed on Thursday morning after an Amazon tractor-trailer caught fire and then it was congested for hours more until reopening.
The truck fire was between exits 3 and 5.
State police said troopers responded around 5:21 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded as well to extinguish the fire.
Fire officials said the vehicle is an Amazon truck and no injuries were reported.

In a statement, Amazon said customers who have an issue with their order can contact their customer service team, which is open 24/7.
No additional information was immediately available.
