UConn Student Died of Drug Overdose: Medical Examiner

A UConn student who died early last month died of a drug overdose, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. 

Sean Sullivan, a first semester economics major who attended the Storrs campus, had five different drugs in his system, according to the office of the medical examiner. 

He died of acute intoxication from the combined effects fentanyl, diphenhydramine, doxylamine, alprazolam and amphetamine, according to the medical examiner’s office. 

Of all the drugs he took, officials said fentanyl was the most dangerous. 

The Daily Campus reports that Sullivan had gone to Norwalk High School.  

Officials from UConn said the investigation is still open.
